Ilyssa Daly, an investigative reporter for the Mississippi Center for Investigative Reporting at Mississippi Today, has been selected for The New York Times’ inaugural class of the Local Investigation Fellowships.
Mississippi Center for Investigative Reporting at Mississippi Today
Ilyssa Daly examines the power of sheriff’s offices in Mississippi as part of The Times’s Local Investigations Fellowship. Jerry Mitchell is an investigative reporter who has examined civil rights-era cold murder cases in the state for more than 30 years.
Together, Mississippi Today and MCIR are shining a light into the darkness and delivering watchdog and investigative reporting Mississippians need.
