Sereena Henderson

Sereena Henderson

Sereena Henderson is the social media coordinator for Mississippi Today. She is from DeLisle, a small town on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. In May 2016, she graduated from the University of Mississippi Meek School of Journalism and New Media. As a college student, she worked as an anchor and correspondent for NewsWatch Ole Miss and interned at WLOX-TV 13 in Biloxi. She also served as a freelance reporter for WTVA in Tupelo and Memphis Action News 5. Her college TV reporting, specifically her multimedia coverage of the 10-year anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, earned a Mississippi Associated Press Broadcasters award and a Society of Professional Journalist National Mark of Excellence Award.
