The Mississippi Today engagement internship provides an interdisciplinary opportunity for editorially minded marketers to learn multiple aspects of social media, email marketing and events programing for nonprofit news.

We are looking for interns who are interested in working in a team environment but show potential to self-manage and anticipate engagement opportunities. Projects may range from data mining to livestreaming, and everywhere in between.

Ideal candidates will have experience with email marketing programs such as Mailchimp and Eventbrite and have some familiarity with social media strategy, scheduling and promotion.
