The Mississippi Today reporting internship provides aspiring journalists the opportunity to work in one of the region’s fastest growing newsrooms, and learn a multitude of skills that will prepare them for a career in mission-driven, public service journalism.

We are looking for interns who can easily jump in to daily news and enterprise coverage — including reporting on Mississippi elections — alongside our seasoned reporting staff.

Ideal candidates will have experience reporting and writing on deadline and an interest in covering state policy topics like health, education, infrastructure and criminal justice. Experience with data visualization is a plus, as well as working collaboratively across newsrooms and beats. Questions? Contact Managing Editor Harvey Parson
