A Mississippi Today Un-Convention.

Saturday January 11, 2020 — Mississippi Museum of Art

This one-day civic engagement summit featured nationally recognized names in media, as well as the region’s best reporters, big thinkers and civic leaders for panel discussions, lectures and open format conversations on a variety of topics ranging from politics and policy to art and equity.

Elise Jordan, political analyst for MSNBC and NBC News, TIME contributor and Mississippi native, gave the opening keynote on politics, media, and covering the 2020 election, and took questions from the crowd.
The summit featured closer-looks in the MMA galleries, exploring the reinterpretation and curation of the permanent collection, New Symphony of Time.
