Saturday, July 14, 2018 — Mississippi Today collaborated with the Mississippi Humanities Council, Mississippi Public Broadcasting, Mississippi Press Association Education Foundation, Clarion Ledger and Mississippi Today to present a one-day civic engagement summit at the Two Mississippi Museums. Speakers and panelists included Jesse Holland, Washington Correspondent for The Associated Press; Evan Smith, CEO, Texas Tribune; Alexander Burns, National Political Correspondent, The New York Times; and Randall Pinkston, Emmy Award-winning journalist.
