Somebody might take a chance on you. That’s exactly what Dr. Jackie did for me,” said Young. “She needed someone to help her social media and other networks appeal more to the millennial audience,” said Young. As one of Dr. Jackie’s 271,000 followers on social media, Young saw an ad for marketing assistance for the reality star. Young submitted her name, interviewed and accepted the internship. Young began interning in February, visiting the reality star on weekends and more frequently during holiday breaks. “Every time I work with Dr. Jackie I am always gaining something — life, career, etc,” said Young. Young recently created weekly scripts for the “Open and Honest with Dr. Heavenly and Dr. Jackie” radio segment on World Star Hit Radio, which airs every other Friday at 1 p.m. ET. Walters’ patients include hip hop and R&B stars Toni Braxton, T.I. and Usher. A board certified OB-GYN, Walters received her undergraduate degree from Alcorn State University and her medical degree from the University of Mississippi. “Dr. Jackie don’t play about school,” said Young. Knowing the important of higher education, the reality star allows Young to work around her class schedule. The support and experience and experience gained working with Dr. Jackie has given Young insight into her future. “I want to build a fashion magazine from the ground up. I also dream to attend law school,” said Young. What she does for fun: They always say “if you love what you do, you’ll never have to work a day in your life,” said Young. Her most fun in Atlanta is attending events and girl talk with Dr. Jackie and the other interns.
