Mississippi State’s basketball women moved up to No. 3 in the Associated Press weekly basketball poll, released Monday morning.
The Lady Bulldogs, 66-44 winners over Ole Miss Sunday, moved ahead of Baylor, which lost a home game to No. 8 Texas last week.
State (25-1) follows No. 1 ranked Connecticut (24-0) and No. 2 Maryland (25-1). Baylor (24-2) dropped to fourth. South Carolina (21-2), the only team to beat State, is ranked No. 6. South Carolina and Connecticut play tonight in a game televised by ESPN2 at 8 p.m.
