A water bottling company will open a $78 million facility in Marshall County next year, the Associated Press reports. Thirty-eight job openings are expected.
Niagara Bottling, based in Ontario, Calif., is buying a 554,000-square-foot building in the Chickasaw Trail Industrial Park. Niagara makes private-label bottled waters, tea and sports drinks for retailers.
The Mississippi Development Authority is giving $400,000 to improve infrastructure and $75,000 for worker training, says MDA spokeswoman Tammy Craft. The Appalachian Regional Commission is providing $200,000 to improve water and sewer infrastructure, while the Tennessee Valley Authority and Marshall County are providing additional aid.
