The Mississippi Legislature on Monday passed the “Taxpayer Pay Raise Act of 2016,” sending the legislation to Gov. Phil Bryant for his signature or veto. The bill would phase out income tax on the first $5,000 of taxable income. Mississippi Today found these reactions to the tax cut.
